“Jesus love me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, they are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.”
Isaac and I sing this song every night that I put him to bed. He loves it, and requests multiple repeats each night. I pray that the words penetrate his heart and that he owns their truth and that in time he will make the choice to make Jesus the Lord of his life.
Last night as I put him down to bed, having already gone through the regular bedtime ritual I said our prayers and began to sing. However, something different happened last night, Isaac began to sing with me! Now, because of his cleft palate he is still suffering speech delays so the words he sang did not sound like any of the words to “Jesus Loves Me” but he was singing! It was so amazing to hear my son sing to the Lord. He was making a joyful noise and I am sure that it was even more beautiful to the ears of our Savior!
